Reading comprehension

Reading comprehension
Like many American standardized test, reading comprehension question materials include a wide variet of topics-- history, science, music, arts, geography etc. ETS always emphasizes that should such materials involve facts, they belong to those of the United States or the North America countries and that no specific knowledge of any kind is required (to master the reading comprehension passage). Probably true, and you don’t expect to be familiar with them However, in my personal view, basic knowledge in American history or society could help you predict the passage as a whole or at least could fill the gap you don’t thoroughly understand.
Anyway, the best strategy in reading is to practice more. Accuracy is the first priority for those who find it difficult in this section. After some practices, speed will come naturally.
